Terranea Resort Announces Two Key Executive Hires - Ron Sandvig & Ryan M. Randall

RON SANDVIG NAMED SENIOR DIRECTOR OF LEISURE EXPERIENCES AND RYAN M. RANDALL NAMED DIRECTOR OF LOSS PREVENTION

(August 6, 2019) —

Terranea Resort welcomed back its first ever associate Ron Sandvig, who takes on the role of Senior Director of Leisure Experiences while Ryan M. Randall is the resort’s new Director of Loss Prevention.

Sandvig’s ties to Terranea goes back more than a decade as their very first employee, tasked in 2006 with pre-opening sales. He successfully secured Group Sales deposits which allowed the resort to open its doors in 2009, despite being in the midst of the Great Recession, and was influential in securing Terranea’s inclusion in several luxury consortia programs including American Express Fine Hotels & Resorts program and Virtuoso Travel Network.

“With more than 40 years of hospitality sales and operations leadership, Ron brings a wealth of knowledge and hands-on experience that are simply invaluable. As the very first hire for the resort back in our opening year, his commitment and dedication to Terranea run deep and we are thrilled to welcome him back,” says Terranea President, Terri A. Haack.

Sandvig left the resort in 2016 to join Conrad Bora Bora and played an instrumental role in developing the leisure sales team. Prior to his initial tenure at Terranea, he held executive sales positions at St. Regis Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide and Doubletree Hotels Corporations, among others.

Terranea Resort also adds a new Director of Loss Prevention, Ryan M. Randall, who brings over 20 years of experience within the safety and security sector. Prior to joining Terranea, Randall managed security operations for Crowne Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles and worked on loss prevention teams at The Beverly Hills Hotel.

“We are delighted to welcome Ryan to the team,” says Haack. “His expertise, determination and grace are instrumental assets in our ongoing commitment to delivering exceptional service and experiences for our valued guests and associates.”
