Terranea Resort Announces the Return of Summer Favorites: Sips and Sunsets, Slow Smoked Sundays, and Veuve Cliquot Terrace

SIPS AND SUNSETS, SLOW SMOKED SUNDAYS AND VEUVE CLICQUOT TERRACE

Exciting Spring Events Include a Food and Wine Festival, Cinco de Mayo Fiesta and Derby Day Celebration

 

RANCHO PALOS VERDES, CA. (April 10, 2024) - With the summer season quickly approaching, oceanfront Terranea Resort invites guests to revel in a seamless blend of luxury, relaxation, unparalleled service and awe-inspiring coastal vistas as they enjoy the resort's celebrated culinary events: Sips and Sunsets, Slow Smoked Sundays and Veuve Clicquot Terrace - all overlooking the sparkling Pacific Ocean.

 

In addition to these signature events, Terranea Resort welcomes sunshine-filled spring and  summer with a lineup of festivities in May. Locals and resort guests alike can partake in lively celebrations such as the Derby Day Celebration on May 4, a day of elegance and excitement filled with traditional derby fare and classic cocktails. The Cinco de Mayo Fiesta is on May 5, where vibrant colors and festive flavors take center stage. Additionally, the resort will host a Food and Wine Festival on July 21, showcasing the finest culinary creations paired with exquisite wines.

 

Sips and Sunsets at solviva

Every Friday and Saturday from 5 to 8 p.m.

Sips and Sunsets presents guests with an unparalleled experience to bask in the golden glow of the sun as it dips below the horizon, located by the scenic Spa Pool, all while enjoying wine selections by the glass and/or bottle, a seasonal charcuterie grazing board, panoramic ocean views and fireside live music.

Slow Smoked Sundays at Nelson's

Every Sunday from 3 to 7 p.m. with live blues and country music

A lively, fun and delicious Sunday escape, this slow smoked feast at Nelson's, perched above the Pacific coves, features smoky entrees, savory sides and sweet desserts. From the Smoker - Brisket, Spareribs, Pulled Pork, Chicken, Andouille Sausage and Ocean Catch of the Day, and there are Salads and Sides, including Potato Salad, Cole Slaw, Mac and Cheese, Pit Beans, Shoestring Potatoes, Grilled Corn on the Cob, Roasted Sweet Potatoes, Housemade Pickles, Cornbread, Hawaiian Rolls and BBQ. Banana Pudding and Seasonal Cobbler are for Dessert. Slow Smoked Sundays are enjoyed on Nelson's outdoor Sunset Bluff- while watching amazing sunsets.

Veuve Clicquot Terrace Experience

Opens Sunday, May 26, and continues daily from 2 to 10 p.m.

For luxurious summer sipping pleasure, Terranea Resort once again teams up with Veuve Clicquot to offer the Veuve Clicquot Terrace on the resort's expansive Lobby Bar Terrace with stunning views of the Pacific Ocean and Catalina Island. Whether you're relaxing in the afternoon sun or marveling at the glorious sunset, Champagne lovers may indulge in elegant Reims-based Veuve Clicquot Champagnes - each with its own personality - served by the glass or the bottle. Choices include the signature Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label brut ($30 gl./$115 btl); lively and fruit forward Veuve Clicquot Non-Vintage Rosé ($39 gl /$155 btl) and the exquisite Veuve Clicquot La Grande Dame reserve brut ($75 gl./$300 btl). Chef's seasonal menu of select summer bites complement the perfect Champagne experience.

 

Special May 2024 Events at Terranea Resort

This May locals and destination travelers alike will want to plan trips to be delighted by oceanfront Pacific views and be treated to pampering and deluxe coastal charm and hospitality. The resort will be hosting three fun, delicious and celebratory experiences. On Saturday, May 4, horse race fans will enjoy a Derby Day Celebration from 2 to 5 p.m. There will be Southern small bites, festive cocktails, entertaining games and a best dressed contest. Then on Sunday, May 5, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., a Cinco de Mayo Fiesta will be celebrated on the resort's beautiful cielo point Lawn - complete with a Mexican feast, thirst-quenching margaritas, mariachis and a DJ.

 

On Sunday July 21, Terranea presents a Food and Wine Festival from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at The Meadows, featuring delectable bites from Terranea's award-winning restaurants helmed by the resort's talented chefs and culinary teams, as well as tastes and flavors from local Palos Verdes and regional eateries, breweries and winemakers. Live music and family-friendly games will be part of the festivities.
