Terranea Resort Presents Exquisite Mother's Day Dining Experiences Along the Coast to Celebrate Moms

RANCHO PALOS VERDES, CA. (March 19, 2024) - As Mother's Day approaches, Terranea Resort unveils an array of luxurious dining options to honor and celebrate the remarkable women in our lives. From beautiful brunches to elegant dinners, the resort offers an unforgettable culinary journey set against the stunning backdrop of the Palos Verdes Peninsula coastline. Exquisite dining choices include an extravagant buffet brunch in the Palos Verdes Ballroom; a decadent gourmet three-course meal at signature mar'sel; an airy, spectacular setting for an impressive buffet at catalina kitchen; and Mother's Day specials are being graciously served at bashi, Nelson's, sea beans and at Lobby Bar.

Deserving mothers and other important women guests wish to honor on Mother's Day will enjoy the lavish fine dining Mother's Day experience in the resort's Palos Verdes Ballroom - expertly created by Chef Andrew Vaughan and his culinary team. There will be a tantalizing Market Fruit Display, and the resort is introducing an assortment of specialty vegan croissants, gluten free muffins and a cherry Greek yogurt Danish. The Omelet Station has a wide selection of pick-your-own fillings, and there is a Sausage Bar and House Made Ricotta Pancakes served with a variety of condiments. Charcuterie & California Cheeses are offered with appetizing condiments. On the lighter appetite-pleasing side, there will be Farm Fresh Garden Lettuces at the Salad Bar with freshly made dressings and accompaniments and Composed Farmers Market Salads as well. Chilled Seafood delights with Jumbo Shrimp, Snow Crab, Octopus Salad and a la minute Oyster Shucking. A choice of Dumplings is at the Asian Kitchen, and heartier appetites will be pleased with Carved Slow-Roasted Prime Rib and Honey Mustard Glazed Ham with stone fruit mostarda. Composed Farmers Market entrees include Chicken Piccata with charred lemon, Pan-Seared Sea Bass with spring vegetable ragout and Vegan Paella composed of forbidden rice, fennel and sweet and sticky Brussels sprouts. Featured Seasonal Spring Vegetables: Grilled Asparagus, Roasted Baby Carrots and Grilled Artichokes. Mother's Day honorees will be tempted to taste some of the resort's sweet delights, including S'mores Tartlets, Rose Panna Cotta, Berry Tarragon Lemon Trifle, Key Lime Tassies, Blueberry and Fudge Cheesecake, Vegan Hibiscus Mini Tart Domes, Strawberry Cream Puffs and more.

mar'sel Three-Course Brunch Menu for Mother's Day

An intimate Three-Course Mother's Day Brunch created by Chef Fabio Ugoletti is served at Terranea's Forbes Four Star signature restaurant mar'sel - helmed by award-winning Ugoletti. The starring women at this three-course elegant repast will savor Corn Gazpacho with sea urchin, tomato, cucumber, avocado, crab, green onion and tarragon. Then Lobster Agnolotti with green and white asparagus, peas coulis, sungold tomato, blossoms and mint is served. The grand finale delights guests with its Strawberry & Champagne Mousse accompanied by fresh berries and toasted meringue.

Families and friends, along with their Mother's Day special guests, will savor a wonderful, relaxing brunch with a seasonally inspired menu - while enjoying ocean views and tranquil breezes. The celebration starts with breakfast offerings from the Pancake Station, Oatmeal and Omelet Stations and Breads, including Mini Donuts, Artisan Bread, Morning Pastries and French Toast. There are Vegetarian Pesto, Margarita and Shrimp Scampi Pizzas from the stone oven. Mom will be very happy with the wide selection of Salads, among them Holiday Caprese, Mango Spring, Catalina Caesar, Vegetable Crudites, Mediterranean Quinoa and more. The special ladies will be delighted with all the Raw Bar options: Edamame & Seafood Salad, Shrimp Cocktail, Oysters on the Half Shell, Tuna Poke, Steamed Dungeness Crabs and more. For hearty appetites, the choices include Tri Tip, Herb Roasted Lamb Rack, Herb Brined Roasted Chicken and Roasted Prime Rib. From 12 to 9 p.m. at Asian-inspired eatery, bashi, the special offering on Mother's Day is Tamarind Guava Baked Salmon accompanied by cauliflower rice, broccolini, scallion and lemon relish for $45 per adult guest. Suggested bashi wine pairing is Grgich Hills Fume Blanc at $18 per glass/$70 per bottle, and bashi special cocktails are Strawberry Aperol Spritz for $19 and Summer Cup, a non-alcoholic sparkling wine quaff, at $14. The special holiday dessert is Coconut Mango Rice Pudding at $15. At Nelson's, from 12 to 9 p.m., Lobster Pappardelle with parmesan cheese, tobiko eggs and Calabrian chili crumbs is a yummy Mother's Day special for $32 per adult guest, and recommended cocktails are Mom Knows Best concocted with Fords Gin, St. Germain, grapefruit, lemon, simple and prosecco float and Rose Sangria. Both drinks are $20 each. Recommended dessert is Blueberry and Chocolate Fudge Cheesecake served with Chantilly cream, $15 (served Mother's Day weekend). The resort's sea beans is featuring a Pancake & Waffle Station on Saturday and Sunday Mother's Day weekend from 8 to 11 a.m. sea beans will also be serving very special desserts: S'mores Tart, Rose Panna Cotta, Berry Tarragon Lemon Trifle and more. Sorbet Floats are available from 1 to 5 p.m. with different flavors and non-alcoholic choices. "Mom" Sugar Cookies will be served during the month of May. At the Lobby Bar, special culinary offerings for the holiday are Cacio e Pepe Croquettes with black currant jelly and Charred Tiger Prawns with saffron cauliflower puree, $25 each. Cocktails that mothers will love are Lavender Gin Fizz, $20 and Dragon Fruit Champagne Cocktail, $18, and a Blueberry and Lilac Syrup Panna Cotta will be available for dessert at $15.
