Terranea Resort Features Luxurious Dining Experiences to Celebrate Mother's Day

Honored mothers and their appreciative families will enjoy a lavishly elegant brunch buffet in a variety of oceanfront seating areas. With live entertainment in the background, guests can leisurely partake in culinary delights from various stations. There's the Omelet & Egg Station, Sausage Bar, Chicken and Waffle Station and specialty stations like Latino Cocina with Tamales, Enchiladas, Guacamole and Aqua Frescas and the Asian Kitchen offering Chicken, Vegetable and Shrimp Dumplings and Vegetable Egg Rolls. From the Carving Station: Coffee Crusted Prime Rib and Scottish Salmon Filet. The Kitchen Staples station offers: Petit Filet Au Poivre, Market Vegetables and Saffron Rice Pilaf. mar'sel Three-Course Brunch Tasting Menu and Special Dinner Menu for Mother's Day

Sunday, May 14, brunch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; dinner from 5 to 9 p.m.; live entertainment from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5 to 9 p.m.

An intimate Three-Course Mother's Day Brunch created by Chef Fabio Ugoletti is served at Forbes Four-Star signature mar'sel overlooking the magnificent Pacific and featured in the indoor dining room or al fresco with complimentary champagne upon arrival. This tasting menu includes Baby Beets Salad with frisée, crème fraîche, avocado, and green peppercorn dressing; followed by Sea Bream "Guazzetto" with prawns, mussels, clams, olives, zucchini, tomato fumet broth and basil. The Third Course is Vanilla Bean Panna Cotta with Blackberry Jelly, strawberry Bavarian cream, meringue kisses, blackberry popsicle and fresh berries. Additionally on Mother's Day, mar'sel is serving its signature Sunday Brunch menu, kids' brunch menu, and a special prix-fixe dinner menu with culinary offerings including Corn Gazpacho with crab meat; Mache Salad with fennel, baby beets, almonds and citrus dressing; Lobster Ravioli; and Seared Scallops with asparagus and quinoa.

This vibrant Mediterranean-inspired bistro is a wonderful outdoor setting to celebrate this special holiday with kudos to Mom and all she does for everyone. Kitchen classics make everyone happy: California Kitchen Omelet Bar and Muffins, Donuts and Seasonal Holiday Bread Display with Pastries, Croissants, Danishes and more. There's Cheese and Charcuterie, Seasonal Fruit Display, Crudites, Soups and an Antipasto Platter. The Raw Bar features Warm Snow Crab, Whole Roasted Striped Bass, Shrimp Cocktail, Lobster Medallions, Ahi Poke and Freshly Shucked Oysters. Sushi Station, Grilled Cheese Bar, Outdoor Pancake Station, Pasta Station and the Carving Board with Glazed Spiral Ham, Grilled Tomahawk Steak, Lamb Chops and Prime Rib will definitely satisfy all appetites. There are two specialty cocktails being concocted - Mother's Hug made with white grape juice, Riesling, Peach Schnapps, Sparkling One Hope and simple syrup; and Mother's Kiss mixed with Tito's Vodka, Chambord, Cointreau, lemon juice and simple syrup. More Terranea Resort Eateries to Visit on Mother's Day

Nelson's amazes guests with its stunning coastal views appreciated from its cliff-top locale. On May 14 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., this eatery will offer Surf and Turf Fries featuring French fries tossed in garlic parmesan sauce and served with jumbo shrimp and New York strip steak slices, $40. Nelson's will also feature a Three Fresh Fruit Mimosa Flight, Mom's Mai Tai and a Passion Fruit Mango Coconut Roulade dessert. At bashi, on the holiday weekend from 12 to 9 p.m., they'll be serving Tamarind Guava Baked Salmon with cauliflower rice, broccolini and scallion lemon relish, $45 and Tempura Lobster Roll with sweet chili sauce for $25, as well as a special Peaches and Cream gin quaff. At the Lobby Bar, a Chandon Garden Spritz cart will offer made-to-order botanical spritzes. Brunch specials are Smoked Salmon Benedict, $27 and Farmer's Market Vegetable Frittata, $25. Afternoon/Evening Menu specials are Scottish Salmon with cauliflower and caponata, $35 and Oysters & Champagne, $45. The Honey Bee made with rum, honey, lemon and orange is the Lobby Bar Mother's Day Cocktail, and a Mimosa and Bloody Mary Bar will be offered for $25.  Also, for Mother's Day, sea beans will tempt sweet tooths with an assortment of cupcakes, Chocolate Truffles and Chocolate Dipped Strawberries.
