Terranea Resort Announces Weekend-Long Valentine's Day Dining Experiences Along The Coast

TERRANEA RESORT ANNOUNCES WEEKEND-LONG VALENTINE'S DAY DINING EXPERIENCES ALONG THE COAST

Prix Fixe Menus, Seasonal Specials and Champagne Pairings Offered Feb. 13-15

 

RANCHO PALOS VERDES, Calif. - Terranea Resort, the award-winning oceanfront destination set along 102 acres of the Palos Verdes coastline, has announced its Valentine's Day dining offerings, available Friday, February 13 through Sunday, February 15. Throughout the holiday weekend, the luxury Southern California resort will present a curated collection of prix fixe menus and seasonal specials across five restaurants, each offering sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean.

 

Valentine's Day experiences will be available at mar'sel, catalina kitchen, the Lobby Bar, bashi and Nelson's, ranging from refined multi-course dinners to relaxed coastal fare, paired with live entertainment at select venues.

 

mar'sel's Splendid Valentine's Day Three-Course Dinner

Friday, February 13 and Saturday, February 14, from 5 to 9 p.m. Live Entertainment 4 to 9 p.m.

Terranea's signature Forbes Four Star restaurant, mar'sel, will offer a romantic three-course Valentine's Day dinner created by Chef Fabio Ugoletti and his culinary team. The evening begins with an amuse-bouche of oysters with pomegranate, followed by a selection of starters including beet salad, seared scallop, cauliflower and white chocolate soup, or duck prosciutto. Entrée selections include lobster-stuffed pappardelle, Chilean sea bass, Wagyu rib eye "tagliata," or lamb ossobuco. Cucumber and mint sorbet will be served as a palate cleanser, followed by dessert options such as chocolate framboise, passion fruit and mango panna cotta, pot de crème, or a plant-based toasted marshmallow macaron.

The dinner is priced at $185 per person, exclusive of tax and gratuity.

 

Bubbles & Bites Valentine's Day Experience at the Lobby Bar

Saturday, February 14, from 5 to 8 p.m.

The Lobby Bar will present a Valentine's Day Bubbles & Bites experience, an elevated prix fixe offering in an ocean-view setting, paired with Veuve Clicquot Brut Yellow Label and Veuve Clicquot Brut Rosé. The experience features a curated grazing table of local cheeses, charcuterie and house-made breads, along with truffle-forward bites such as beef tartare with black truffle cannoli, Jerusalem artichokes with truffle foam, black truffle éclairs, roasted celery root and white truffle soup, and Maine lobster on toast. Interactive stations include freshly shucked oysters, Petrossian caviar with sweet potato blini, Iberico de Bellota, yakitori-style beef arrosticini, and truffle and Parmesan fries. The experience concludes with a build-your-own chocolate box featuring assorted truffles.

$145 per person, exclusive of tax and gratuity.

 

catalina kitchen's Three-Course Prix Fixe Valentine's Day Dinner

Saturday, February 14 and Sunday, February 15, from 5 to 9 p.m.

With panoramic views of Catalina Island, catalina kitchen will offer a three-course prix fixe Valentine's Day dinner beginning with a Baja California shrimp cocktail amuse shooter. Appetizer options include citrus hamachi crudo, basil potato gnocchi, or chicory Caesar salad. Entrée selections include filet mignon, grilled branzino, grilled Colorado lamb chops, or pasta de elote. Dessert will feature the pastry chef's selection. A limited à la carte menu will also be available for guests seeking additional flexibility.

The three-course dinner is priced at $120 per person, exclusive of tax and gratuity.

 

Additional Valentine's Day Specials Across the Resort

Terranea will also offer Valentine's Day specials at the Lobby Bar, bashi and Nelson's on Saturday, February 14 and Sunday, February 15, providing guests with a range of dining experiences - from refined lounge bites to Asian-inspired cuisine and relaxed coastal fare.

 

The Lobby Lounge will feature Valentine's Day small plates in an elegant ocean-view setting from 2 to 11 p.m., with live entertainment from 7 to 11 p.m. Offerings include goat cheese Napoleon and oysters on the half shell with champagne mignonette, along with specialty cocktails such as the Bear with Me, crafted with Ford's Gin, honey, lemon, black tea and coconut milk, and Heart of Gold, featuring Mount Gay XO Rum, Aperol and cream sherry. A pistachio verrine dessert will also be available.

 

At bashi, Valentine's Day specials will be served from 5 to 9 p.m. and include Asian-inspired dishes such as lamb lollipops marinated in bulgogi sauce and served with watercress. The dessert offering is a strawberry lychee cremeux, paired with the featured cocktail, the Paper Crane, made with Awayuki Gin, Amaro Montenegro, Aperol and lemon.

 

For a more casual oceanfront experience, Nelson's will offer Valentine's Day specials from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., including lobster and crab ravioli with garlic cream sauce, a special Hearts to You cocktail made with gin, lemon and raspberry syrup, and a pomegranate chocolate mousse cake for dessert.
