There, you may be greeted by Joe, our resident falconer, who introduces guests to his majestic birds of prey. Hear their incredible stories and discover how these raptors are protectors of the Palos Verdes ecosystem. It is a rare and moving encounter with nature that leaves a lasting impression.

As midday arrives, cool off from the California sun with an ocean adventure. Set off on a guided kayak tour with our guide, one of our experienced naturalists, who leads guests through coastal kelp forests and ancient sea caves. Spot bright sea stars in hidden tide pools and listen as Bob shares insights about the underwater world you're gliding across. For those drawn to swimming, embark on a guided snorkeling tour and swim alongside vibrant Garibaldi, Calico Bass, and, if fortune favors, glimpse leopard sharks.

As the sun begins its descent, retreat to Nelson's, a beloved cliffside restaurant perched high above the Pacific. One of our lovely baristas will gladly scoop your favorite house-made flavor, perhaps creamy rocky road or fresh strawberry, into crisp waffle cones, perfect for a sun-soaked day. Then, make your way to the Resort Pool, where excitement awaits in every splash. Young guests will be drawn to the 140-foot water slide, while adults can retreat to a shaded private cabana, where chilled drinks from The Grill arrive courtesy of Cassie, your welcoming, attentive server for the afternoon. Between dips, enjoy classic lawn games like Foosball, corn hole, or giant Jenga.
