SoCal Sunsets, Live Tunes and Coastal Vibes Light Up Nelson's Sunset Bluff

 

RANCHO PALOS VERDES, Calif. - Terranea Resort's Sound Series at Nelson's returns for another unforgettable summer of live music under the stars. Kicking off on Friday, May 30 with the island sounds of Upstream, this year's series features 27 nights of oceanfront performances, taking place most Friday and Saturday nights through August 30. Guests are invited to enjoy classic California sunsets, dance to South Bay's best local bands, and indulge in Nelson's beloved coastal cuisine - all set against the stunning backdrop of the Pacific Ocean.

The Sound Series is a favorite summer tradition for both locals and resort guests, offering a vibrant mix of genres - from reggae and country to pop hits, rock classics, and 80s throwbacks. Whether you're sipping a craft cocktail at sunset or sharing a Sound Series Burger with friends, each night promises a perfect pairing of music and memorable moments.

Doors open at 6 p.m. and live music plays from 7 to 10 p.m. on the Sunset Bluff at Nelson's.

General admission for the public is $30, exclusive of food and beverages plus 20% service charge, tax and processing fees during check-out. Resort guests and children ages 13 and under are complimentary. Private cabanas are available for $500 (admission for eight guests included), plus tax and processing fees during booking. A 20% service charge will be added to the final bill at the time of the event.

In addition to the Nelson's stage, guests can enjoy nightly live music at 7 p.m. inside the resort at the Lobby Bar and Casamigos Terrace, where expert mixologists serve handcrafted cocktails in a sophisticated yet relaxed setting.

Concertgoers are encouraged to arrive early and come hungry - Nelson's al fresco 2025 Sound Series menu is available throughout the evening, featuring crowd favorites such as the Sound Series Burger, BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich, Shrimp Hoagie, Street Tacos, and Chicken or Asada Quesadilla.
