MAR'SEL AT TERRANEA RESORT EARNS WINE SPECTATOR'S "BEST OF AWARD OF EXCELLENCE" FOR 12^TH CONSECUTIVE YEAR

RANCHO PALOS VERDES, Calif. - Mar'sel, the signature fine dining restaurant at Terranea Resort, has been recognized with Wine Spectator's "Best of Award of Excellence" for the 12^th consecutive year reaffirming the restaurant's standing as one of Southern California's premier destinations for wine and coastal cuisine.

The "Best of Award of Excellence" recognizes restaurants whose wine programs demonstrate extensive selections across multiple wine-growing regions, significant vintage depth and a commitment to pairing wine with cuisine. Mar'sel's award-winning wine list features 375 selections and an inventory of more than 5,000 bottles, with strengths in California and French wines.

Overlooking the Pacific Ocean, Mar'sel offers an intimate dining experience that pairs seasonal cuisine with a thoughtfully curated wine program. The collection spans both Old and New World producers, including notable selections from Napa Valley, Sonoma County, California's Central Coast, Santa Barbara County and the Palos Verdes Peninsula.

Under the direction of Ugoletti, Mar'sel's menus showcase seasonal ingredients sourced from Terranea's herb and vegetable gardens, lemon groves, Catalina View Gardens and other regional purveyors. The restaurant places an emphasis on biodynamic, organic and regenerative organic wines alongside an extensive by-the-glass program utilizing Coravin technology and a robust selection of half-bottles.

For 2026, 4,012 restaurants worldwide received awards across all categories. Of those, 1,830 earned the Best of Award of Excellence, a distinction reserved for restaurants with extensive wine lists featuring at least 350 selections and significant depth across multiple wine-growing regions.
