RANCHO PALOS VERDES, Calif. - Perched along the blufftops of Rancho Palos Verdes, Terranea Resort will mark Easter with a curated lineup of oceanfront dining experiences, from grand buffet spreads to refined, chef-driven menus, all set against sweeping Pacific views.
Highlights include a lavish Easter Brunch in the Palos Verdes Ballroom with a dedicated Kids Buffet; a three-course holiday menu by Chef Fabio Ugoletti at Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star mar'sel; and abundant, family-friendly brunch and dinner buffets at catalina kitchen. Easter in Bloom: A Spectacular Brunch in the Palos Verdes Ballroom
Sunday, April 5, seatings and live entertainment from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The resort's annual Easter Brunch in the Palos Verdes Ballroom returns as a festive gathering for families and friends, featuring an expansive buffet set amid elegant spring décor. Highlights include a Spring Salad Bar, made-to-order omelets, chilled seafood with snow crab and live oyster shucking, smoked salmon and sushi, plus a charcuterie and California cheese display and Asian station with dim sum and wok-fried rice. Seasonal pastas, leg of lamb and prime rib carving stations, and entrées such as Mediterranean Chicken Thigh, Seared Tuna and Vegan Wild Rice round out the menu, alongside a dedicated Kids Buffet with pasta pomodoro, chicken tenders and red velvet pancakes. In a garden-inspired setting with oversized bunnies and florals, dessert tables will showcase petite spring sweets and a statement Easter egg display filled with chocolates and candies.

Easter Elegance: A Three-Course Celebration at mar'sel

Terranea Resort's signature restaurant mar'sel presents a refined three-course Easter Brunch by Chef Fabio Ugoletti, served with panoramic ocean views. The chef-driven menu begins with an amuse-bouche of Deviled Quail Egg, followed by first-course selections such as Smoked Salmon Carpaccio, Green and White Asparagus with poached egg and jamón ibérico, Avocado Toast with butter poached lobster, Fava Bean Soup or Niçoise salad. Entrée options include Cavatelli with prawns, Spaghetti Carbonara, Wagyu Steak with green peppercorn sauce, Lamb Chop "Scottadito," or Seared Halibut with spring peas. Dessert choices range from White Chocolate Mousse with berries to Chocolate Dulcey Pot de Crème, Hazelnut Macaron, Sfogliatelle or Saffron Crème Brûlée. A children's three-course menu will be available. Guests may also opt for wine pairings from the restaurant's Wine Spectator award-winning list or a signature Verde Vesper cocktail made with house-infused Reyka vodka, Beefeater gin and Lillet Blanc.

Easter Morning by the Sea: Brunch at catalina kitchen

The expansive Easter Brunch buffet at catalina kitchen features a granola bar, oatmeal station and acai bowls; housemade breads and pastries; and made-to-order omelets alongside breakfast classics such as steak and eggs, egg royale, cinnamon French toast and breakfast burritos. Guests can also enjoy a seafood bar with chowder and scallops gratin, fresh salads including lobster cobb and spring quinoa, a carving station with prime rib and garlic-mint leg of lamb, stone-oven pizzas, and a dessert display of carrot cupcakes and strawberry rosemary cream puffs.

Oceanfront Easter Feast: Dinner at catalina kitchen
Sunday, April 5, from 12:30 to 9:30 p.m. Live entertainment 2 to 9 p.m.
With panoramic Catalina Island views, catalina kitchen will present a lavish Easter Dinner buffet showcasing seasonal flavors and coastal favorites. The feast begins with a grazing table of cured meats, California cheeses, hummus and marinated vegetables, alongside cold appetizers, house-baked pastries and salads such as roasted beet and goat cheese. A seafood bar will feature steamed lobster tails, king crab legs and tiger shrimp cocktail, complemented by spring risotto, pesto clams pasta, chicken cacciatore and braised short ribs. A carving station with roasted Cornish game hens, leg of lamb and glazed Easter ham anchors the spread, joined by hot appetizers, a sushi station and stone-oven pizzas. Decadent desserts will also be featured.

Easter Bites and Sips Across the Resort

In addition to its signature brunches and buffets, Terranea Resort will offer Easter-inspired specials across several dining venues.
At sea beans, guests can enjoy Cucumber Panna Cotta with mint jelly and Easter shortbread cookies from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., along with a Kids' Egg Hunt from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Nelson's will feature Herbed Marinated Mary's Chicken with spring vegetables, a Sunrise Delight cocktail with rum and prosecco, and the signature panna cotta dessert, served from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
At bashi, holiday specials will include a Hacho Miso Roasted Lamb Chops and Unagi Roll with eel, cucumber, and cream cheese, offered from 12 to 9 p.m. The Lobby Bar will host live music from 7 to 11 p.m., alongside lamb burgers, festive cocktails including Peep Show and Bunny Business, and a featured Easter dessert, served from 1 to 11 p.m.
