Terranea Resort's signature restaurant, mar'sel, (Spanish for "sea" and French for "salt,") is a destination in and of itself. This highly acclaimed Southern California oceanfront restaurant exudes a romantic charm that complements Chef Michael Fiorelli's simple, modern, yet innovative interpretation of California cuisine. mar'sel's menu features the finest, freshest, locally-produced organic ingredients available - including a few from mar'sel's herb garden.
The wine list at mar'sel features carefully selected labels from California, France and other renowned wine regions around the world, with a knowledgeable sommelier to assist you with pairing your meal with the perfect wine.
Before dinner, guests enjoy signature hand-crafted mar'sel cocktails, such as the chili-pineapple margarita, in the inviting bar and lounge or seated around the outdoor fire pit in the refreshing ocean air.
Dinner guests may choose to dine on the outdoor terrace with mesmerizing views of Santa Catalina Island, or inside the elegant dining room warmed by the rustic stone fireplace.

mar'sel's Herb Garden
Emphasizing Chef Fiorelli's 'terroir' approach to his cuisine, mar'sel's garden provides Chef with many of the fresh ingredients that are featured in his dishes at mar'sel. The organic mar'sel garden is designed and managed by Home Grown Edible Landscapes and is the site of hands-on gardening workshops and lectures throughout the growing season. HGEL can show you and your family how to have a "mar'sel" garden in your very own backyard.
