Terranea Resort Rolls Out Annual Campaign in Partnership with CHLA
(February 24, 2022) Throughout the month of March, Terranea Resort will participate as a partner in the seventh annual Make March Matter™ campaign. In support of our local Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA), this community-driven initiative promotes the valued work and programs of CHLA, as well as advocates for the healthcare needs of children. With a goal to raise $1 million in the month of March, guests and locals can help give back by participating in resort Make March Matter activities.
“It is an honor to support Children’s Hospital Los Angeles’ Make March Matter campaign for the seventh consecutive year,” says Agnelo Fernandes, Chief Strategy Officer & Executive Vice President of Terranea Resort. “Through the generosity of our guests and community, the resort has been able to contribute nearly $40,000 in support of the campaign since its inception. We remain committed to raising funds and awareness for the hospital’s valuable resources and in support of building a healthier future for our children.”
Terranea’s guests and the community can help give back by participating in the resort’s Make March Matter activities:
Stay: For every stay* in March, Terranea will donate $10 in support of Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. Guests will also have the option to donate to CHLA when booking their stay at Terranea via terranea.com. Meeting and special event guests may also connect and make a difference. For every new group room booked* in March 2022 the resort will donate $10 per room to help give back to children and their families. *some restrictions apply.
Play: Terranea will donate $10 from every Escape Room activity booked during March to give back to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, The Links will match $1 per round of golf for every guest donation to give back, and guests will also have the opportunity to write notes and color CHLA butterfly pictures for patients at pointe discovery. For every Kids Club Activity Box purchased, Terranea will donate $5 to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. The Kids Club Activity Box is a specially curated box of activities designed for children between the ages of 4 and 12. With ample activities for multiple days of play, this kit celebrates all things Terranea, including a plein air painting project, nature journal, design your own beach ball, and much more.
Dine & Sip: Terranea will donate $1 to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles from each of the specialty menu item at its award-winning restaurants including a Super Greens Smoothie with Blue Algae and Wheatgrass at the Spa Café, Hummus at catalina kitchen, Charcuterie & Cheese at the Lobby Bar, Salt & Pepper Calamari at bashi, Crispy Chicken Wings at Nelson’s, and blue butterfly cookies from sea beans. In addition, ONEHOPE Wine will match the resort’s contributions to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles when guests select a glass of ONEHOPE Wine Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay, available at every dining outlet.
Rejuvenate: For each body treatment and salon service purchased, The Spa at Terranea will donate a $1 to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
Shop: During the month of March, Terranea will give 10% of all Jellycat stuffed animals and Shade Critters Children’s Swimwear sales from marea to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
ONEHOPE Sunset Ritual Tasting: On March 4 at 6:00pm Terranea invites guests to unwind with a wine tasting during a special sunset ritual. Proceeds from ONEHOPE purchases will benefit Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
Seaside Yoga: On March 12 at 10:00am, yoga lovers are invited to a seaside yoga gathering on the Ocean Lawn. The event is open to both guests and locals. Yogis of all levels are welcome, and participants are asked to bring a yoga mat and a $20 contribution to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. Space is limited, and reservations must be made by calling The Spa at 310.265.2740.
Live Music & Silent Auction: Guests may enjoy an evening filled with live entertainment from Dueling Pianos at The Lobby Bar on Saturday, March 26 from 7:00-11:00pm. In support of Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, silent auction items will be available from Terranea, Tito’s, ONEHOPE Wine, and more.
