Terranea Resort Participates in Palos Verdes Restaurant Week

Guests Can Dine Around The Peninsula With Special Offerings Throughout The Property

Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif. (July 14, 2015) – July 17-26, Terranea Resort, A Destination Hotel, and its acclaimed restaurants mar’sel, Catalina Kitchen, bashi, and Nelson’s will be participating in Dine Around the Peninsula.

 

Dine Around the Peninsula is the culinary event of the year, with local chefs showcasing their creativity and restaurants offering carefully curated, specially priced prix fixe menus. Guests can visit some of Palos Verdes’ finest restaurants, as master chefs serve up innovative menus featuring tantalizing culinary creations. 

At bashi, guests can enjoy contemporary Asian dishes with a special prix fixe dinner menu ($35). Menu items include choice of Tofu Lettuce Wraps, Hoisin Glazed Baby Back Ribs, or Wok Charred Shishito Peppers followed by a selection of Shanghai Style Garlic Noodles, Yeung Chow Fried Rice, Sizzling Shaking Beef or Crispy Duck Confit Salad, and then a choice of Chocolate Mousse Crunch or Ginger Crème Brulee for dessert. Dinner is available at bashi from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. daily.

Catalina Kitchen features California market cuisine with a Mediterranean twist. Special menus will be available at lunch ($23) and dinner ($55). The lunch menu includes a selection of salads such as Baby Kale, Shrimp and Crab Louis or Chimichurri Steak Salad with soft drink or iced tea and Caramel Cheesecake Crème Brulee. For dinner, guests can choose from Heirloom Tomato Salad or Deviled Eggs to start followed by Pan Seared Salmon, Prime Ribeye, or Seafood Linguini and Crème Brulee Cheesecake to finish. Lunch is available from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and dinner is available 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Set overlooking the Pacific with stunning ocean views, mar’sel, offers the ideal location for an intimate and elegant dinner. The menu utilizes local and organic ingredients grown on property with special dinner selections such as Local Rough Eye Rock Fish ($45) poached in sea water with squid ink polenta, leeks and saffron aioli or Prime Aged New York Steak ($65) with chanterelle mushroom, fondant potato, and sous vide spring carrots. Dinner service is from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 5:30 to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

With a view of the Point Vicente Lighthouse and Catalina Island, Nelson’s offers one of the most scenic locations in Palos Verdes to enjoy a meal or drink in a casual setting. The special prix fixe menu ($45) is available for lunch or dinner and begins with Pan-Fried Halibut Cheeks with Lemon Caper Sauce or Chop Salad with a choice of entrees such as the Salmon “Club” Burger, Ciopinno or Chimichurri Skirt Steak. End on a sweet note with Peach Panna Cotta. Nelson’s is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
