Known as the songwriter and lead vocalist of the Australian pop sensation, Men at Work, Colin Hay has also debuted 11 critically acclaimed solo albums. Most recently, Hay released his album, Next Year People, mixed by Chad Fischer (Chasing Mavericks, Ice Age 3, Lisa Loeb), and including contributions from Larry Goldings on piano, Jeff Babko (Jimmy Kimmel) on B3 and Hay’s wife, vocalist Cecilia Noel. Many of the tracks on Next Year People reflect Hay’s personal experiences, like “Waiting in the Rain,” bringing to life his childhood memories in a Scottish music shop. Following the album’s release, Hay joined Barenaked Ladies and Violent Femmes on the “2015 Last Summer on Earth Tour,” including performances at more than thirty amphitheaters from Columbus to Seattle. Consistently selling out theaters and listening rooms across America, Hay’s music has been heard on hit shows like Scrubs, Army Wives and Modern Family, as well as in the soundtrack to the popular film, Garden State.

Terranea’s Music on the Meadows will also feature performances from several artists, including:

  • Kate Voegele, celebrated for her musician-centric role on the CW show, One Tree Hill, recently debuted five new pop songs on her latest “Wild Card” EP.

  • The Walcotts boasts two singers and a range of musicians, from a fiddle player to a pedal steel guitarist, presenting a twist on Americana tunes with a nod to folk-rock, swampy jazz and heartland anthems.

  • Barley, a South Bay-original eight-member band, is known for its Rock and Roll Americana sound with West Coast vibes and is currently working on its third full-length album.
