Haack was honored as General Manager of the Year at the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI) Los Angeles 2018 Best of the Best Awards held November 15, 2018, at the California Science Center. Given to the individual who has demonstrated exceptional leadership skills and professionalism in multiple areas from training staff to exceeding guest expectations, the General Manager of the Year Award also recognizes the person who shapes the hotel’s corporate culture while continuing to maintain hotel profitability and act as a role model for the rest of the industry.
