(February 20, 2018) —Terranea Resort hosts the fourth iteration of Immersive Wellness at Terranea on Friday, February 22 and Saturday, February 23. Following the success of the wellness daycations at Terranea in 2018, the first Daycation of 2019 on Saturday, February 23 will include exclusive experiences focused on improving both physical and emotional heart health. Highlights of the day's activities will include a workshop with board-certified cardiologist Dr. Nazanin Azadi of Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center, a wellness session with Energy Medicine Facilitator and Meditation Instructor Angela Matthews, a restorative treatment at The Spa at Terranea, and more.

"We are thrilled to welcome guests back to Terranea for another day entirely devoted to wellness," Spa Director Sharon Holtz says. "With our activities and workshops being focused on the heart this time around, we hope guests will take away the tools to sustain happier and healthier hearts long after the Daycation concludes."

In addition to the Saturday retreat, Terranea will be hosting a forum and Q&A with Dr. Azadi, along with a "Wellness Marketplace," featuring booths from partners and blood pressure testing on the evening of Friday, February 22.  The marketplace will include the American Heart Association, to which a portion of the weekend's proceeds will be donated.

"As February is American Heart Month," Holtz continued, "we felt it was vital to have our guests understand the importance of heart health for this retreat, which is why we're honored to be partnering with the American Heart Association."

"My years as a cardiologist have taught me that it's always a smart idea to think about your heart health," says Dr. Nazanin Azadi. "I love the work Terranea is doing to promote awareness of heart disease and overall health and wellness, and I am very pleased to be part of the Daycation programming for February.

Perched along the coastal bluffs of Rancho Palos Verdes and spanning 102 acres of pristine, natural beauty, Terranea embraces its unique position as a destination for wellness.
