Joyous Christmas and Hanukkah Experiences
RANCHO PALOS VERDES, Calif. - The renowned culinary team at Southern California's luxurious Terranea Resort, set against its stunning Pacific oceanfront backdrop, presents an elevated selection of holiday dining experiences designed to enchant discerning travelers and local guests alike. This season, the resort offers an array of festive menus, from an elegant Breakfast with Santa to refined Hanukkah specials and exceptional Christmas Eve and Christmas Day offerings. With indulgent brunches and dinner buffets at catalina kitchen and exquisite gourmet dining at the signature mar'sel, Terranea sets the stage for unforgettable holiday celebrations in an unparalleled coastal setting.
Breakfast with Santa in the Palos Verdes Ballroom
Saturday, December 21, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Terranea Resort presents Breakfast with Santa where guests will enjoy a festive buffet featuring scrambled eggs, vegan soy chorizo scramble, smoked ham with red-eye gravy, pancakes with assorted toppings, and more. Santa's Mini Bakery will offer treats like mini danishes, muffins, and croissants, while Little Elf's Decorating Bend will provide a gingerbread cookie decorating station for children. Santa will be available for family photos.
$125 for adults, $35 for children (ages five to 12 years old), $20 for toddlers (three to four years old), complimentary for children ages two and under; exclusive of tax and gratuity. For reservations, please book online.
mar'sel Christmas Dinners
Tuesday, December 24, and Wednesday, December 25, from 5 to 9 p.m.
Chef Fabio Ugoletti pleases with a superb five-course gourmet holiday meal at fanciful Four-Star Forbes Travel Guide restaurant - all set against a stunning oceanfront panoramic background. The Chef's Five-Course Tasting Menu served on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day Dinner will start with Seared Scallop, persimmon carpaccio, watercress, orange segments and caviar. The second course is Lobster Bisque with poached oyster, broccoli florets and crème fraîche and the next is Tagliolini Pasta accompanied by mushroom ragu, braised leeks and black truffle. The fourth course delights with Veal Cheeks & Saffron Risotto with sauteed brussels sprouts, kale and gremolata. A delightful Rum Baba with Chantilly cream, exotic fruits and chocolate sorbet ends this sumptuous feast. Special fine wines and holiday-themed cocktails will be available. mar'sel's customary á la carte menu will also be available.

Christmas Day Buffet at catalina kitchen
Wednesday, December 25, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.; and from 5 to 9:30 p.m.
catalina kitchen presents a festive Christmas feast beginning with an elegant Raw Bar featuring Tiger Shrimp Cocktail, Fresh Oysters, Peruvian Scallops, Steamed King Crab Legs, Tuna Tataki, and Smoked Trout, along with Caviar Blinis. The Carving Station offers Roasted Prime Rib, Rack of Lamb, Honey-Glazed Ham, Roast Turkey Breast with cranberry sauce, and Roast Porchetta. Special holiday salads include Poached Pear and Gorgonzola with candied pecans, Truffle Caesar, and Grilled Peach and Burrata. Entrees range from Seared Scallops and Grilled Sea Bass to Lobster Ravioli, Filet Mignon, and Roasted Duck Breast. Desserts include Brown Sugar Pudding, Peppermint Brownies, Yule Logs, and Cranberry White Chocolate Cheesecake. Two festive cocktails, Blue Christmas and Winter Wonderland, will also be available.

Terranea Resort will offer a variety of Christmas specials across its dining venues. At the Lobby Bar, guests can enjoy a Saint Honore with puff pastry, pâte à choux, and vanilla cream, available December 24 and 25 from 5 to 9 p.m. bashi will feature a Surf & Turf Sushi Roll with wagyu beef and spicy lobster, and Singaporean-style Chili Lobster Tail, along with the Miso Gold Rush cocktail. Nelson's will serve Herbed Roasted Prime Rib and Lobster Mac & Cheese, available December 24 and 25 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. sea beans will offer festive lattes, blended coffees, and holiday sweets throughout December. Additionally, the Gingerbread Lounge will welcome guests weekdays from 4 to 10 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 2 to 10 p.m., offering holiday cocktails and treats.
mar'sel Hanukkah Dinners
Wednesday, December 25, 2024, to Thursday, January 2, 2025, from 5 to 9 p.m.
To celebrate Happy Hanukkah and the Festival of Lights, mar'sel will present a special gourmet Tasting Menu, as well as its customary á la carte menu. The Tasting Menu starts with Latkes & Caviar, traditional potato fritters, green onion yogurt, smoked salmon and caviar. The next course is Lamb Lasagna with layered egg pasta, lamb ragu and mushroom coulis. Slowly Roasted Beef Brisket with stewed onion, dried prune and apricot, mashed potatoes and sauteed brussels sprouts is then served. Dessert is Frangipane Cake with almond cream, apple, pomegranate sauce and cinnamon gelato.

Terranea Resort will offer special Hanukkah dishes from Wednesday, December 25, 2024, to Thursday, January 2, 2025. At the Lobby Bar, guests can enjoy Five Spice Apple Cake with caramel sauce and vanilla gelato from 12 to 9 p.m. catalina kitchen will feature Matzo Ball Soup, Sweet Potato Latkes with tarragon dill cream, Rosemary Roasted Chicken Breast with warm barley and mushrooms, and Five Spice Apple Cake for dessert, available from 12 to 9 p.m. bashi will offer Kimchi-Bokkeum Bap (Kimchi Fried Rice) and Five Spice Apple Cake. Nelson's will serve Roasted Za'atar Marinated Half Chicken and Five Spice Apple Cake, available from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
