Set against the resort's breathtaking coastal backdrop, guests can enjoy a festive lineup designed by Terranea's renowned hospitality and culinary teams.

 

Highlights include Midnight Circus: New Year's Eve Extravaganza, an unforgettable celebration featuring live entertainment, gourmet dining and revelry into the early hours. Families can delight in an Under the Big Top dinner while catalina kitchen and mar'sel offer exclusive holiday menus for an elevated dining experience. With live performances and special surprises at various venues, Terranea promises a New Year's celebration that combines elegance, excitement and panoramic ocean views.

 

Midnight Circus: New Year's Eve Extravaganza in the Palos Verdes Ballroom

Tuesday, December 31, from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m.

This cirque-inspired celebration features an open bar for guests 21 and over, VIP bottle service, casino games, and a decadent array of culinary delights - all set to the vibrant beats of DJ Ricky Rocks. A stunning seafood ice sculpture showcases crab claws, shrimp, oysters and an assortment of signature sauces. The taqueria table tempts with Mahi Mahi Adobada, Chicken Tinga and Frijoles Borracha complete with condiments. The pasta pavilion offers Penne Al Pomodoro, Smoked Chicken with Gemelli Pasta, and Carbonara Sauce and Roasted Romesco Tortiglioni. A gourmet action counter includes a Parmesan Wheel with creamy brandy sauce flambéed to order, a Porchetta Carving Station with herb-rubbed Pork Belly and Terranea salts and a unique Liquid Nitro Tossed Popcorn Station featuring popcorn tossed with Terranea curated salts. The slider spread serves Kobe Beef, Salmon and Chicken Sliders on brioche buns. An array of salads includes Green Papaya with lime dressing, Roasted Beet Salad with kale, peppers and goat cheese and Caprese Salad with bocconcini. The Dim Sum selections offer Spring Rolls, Vegetable Dumplings and Shrimp and Pork Shu Mai while the Asian Station features Vegetarian Lo Mein Noodles. For dessert, guests can indulge in a Warm Chocolate Decadent Torte served in martini glasses with flambéed oranges in sambuca, vanilla gelato and apricot sambuca biscotti. Other sweets include Vanilla Panna Cotta with Champagne Jello and Grapes, Limoncello Truffles and more enticing creations.

General admission for adults 21 and over is $235 per person. Gold Bottle Service, featuring upgraded seating for up to six guests, is available for $3,000. Under the Big Top: New Year's Eve Family Dinner in the Marineland Ballroom

A delightful way for the whole family to welcome the new year, Under the Big Top offers a festive buffet experience complete with live entertainment and champagne toast for guests 21 and over. Families can enjoy performances by Dan Delgado and DJ Ricky Rocks, building excitement for the highly anticipated New Year's Eve countdown. The expansive buffet creates a celebratory feast for all. Starters include Coastal Seafood Display; Lobster Bisque with black truffle butter croutons; Roasted Beet Salad with kale, peppers, onions and goat cheese; Caprese Salad; and Green Papaya Salad. Entrees include Veal Saltimbocca with chanterelles and wilted greens, Beef Tenderloin with sautéed Swiss chard and galette potatoes, Seared Salmon with forbidden black rice and Harissa Cauliflower with crispy chickpeas and cilantro. Sides feature White Cheddar Mac and Cheese, Roasted Heirloom Carrots and BBQ Eggplant with nduja. Desserts include Warm Chocolate Decadent Torte, Chocolate Gateau, Pine Nut Cake, Pecan Caramel Bark and more.

catalina kitchen's New Year's Eve buffet presents a lavish spread to welcome 2025 in grand style. Guests can start at the Raw Bar offering an array of fresh seafood selections, including Shrimp Cocktail, Oysters on the Half Shell, Peruvian Scallops, Clams, King Crab Legs, Ahi Tuna Poke, Roasted Salmon and more. The Carving Corner features Roasted Prime Rib, Tomahawk Steak, Roast Leg of Lamb, Honey Glazed Ham and Maple Glazed Duck. Other Entrees include Grilled Lobster Tail, Shrimp Scampi Pasta, Grilled Sea Bass with jasmine rice and mango salsa, Seared Scallops, Truffle Risotto, Coconut Tempura and Miso Glazed Black Cod with Creamy Corn. There will be artisan breads, vegetable crudites, fruit, cheese and charcuterie boards and a selection of stone oven pizzas. An array of salads includes Grilled Peach Salad with mixed greens and prosciutto and Farro and Roasted Vegetable Salad. For a sweet finale, desserts include Strawberry Champagne Cake, Chocolate Gateau, Nutella Baklava, Cappuccino Eclairs and Limoncello Truffles. Tuesday, December 31; seatings at 5, 6, 7:30 and 8 p.m.; live entertainment from 5 to 10 p.m.

Chef Fabio Ugoletti's exquisite four-course tasting menu offers a refined and memorable way to celebrate the new year. Guests can enjoy specialty wines by the glass with curated wine pairings to enhance each course. The evening will be complemented by live entertainment from the talented Gavin Bruan creating an unforgettable atmosphere. First there is a choice of Icefiord Salmon Tartare with passion fruit coulis, caviar and chives; Brussels Sprout Salad with raisins, pine nuts, Parmigiano and prosciutto; Black Lentil Soup with sunchoke chips and pomegranate; or Cauliflower & White Chocolate Velouté with shaved cauliflower, uni and lemon balm. The second course choices are Lobster Stuffed Ravioli with pea coulis, Potato Gnocchi with black truffle, Risotto with oyster, watercress and red pepper coulis or Pappardelle Pasta with wild boar ragu and pecorino fondue. The third course offers Chilean Seabass with saffron "bouillabaisse" sauce, mussels, clams and prawns; Diver Scallops with butternut squash coulis and orange endive; Duck Breast glazed with spiced honey, confit thigh, chanterelle and potato fondant; or Beef Truffled "Wellington" with sauteed spinach, glazed carrots and bordelaise. For the sweet ending, the choices are Chocolate Pot de Crème with caramel pudding and sea salt cookies; Chestnut Tiramisu with mascarpone cream and sponge cake; Pavlova Meringue with poached pears, pomegranate sauce and raspberry sorbet; or Apple Cobbler with vanilla oat milk gelato. The Kids Tasting Menu features Fried Shrimp, Mac & Cheese, a choice of Beef Filet with fries and sauteed spinach or Seabass with fingerling potatoes and grilled broccolini; for dessert, gelato, sorbet and sugar cookies.

Terranea Resort invites guests to ring in the New Year with a festive celebration at the Lobby Bar on Tuesday, December 31. Guests can enjoy live entertainment by Hugo Fernandez from 8 p.m. to midnight, alongside a luxurious Seafood Tower featuring shrimp, crab claws, Maine lobster tail and cocktail sauce. The Seafood Tower is priced at $120 per person, exclusive of tax and gratuity. Terranea offers an elegant way to welcome 2025 in style.

 

bashi will serve specials Sonoma County Peking Duck and Surf & Turf Sushi Roll on December 31 and January 1 from noon to 9 p.m. At Nelson's, guests can indulge in a Grilled Shrimp Boil with Andouille sausage, corn, potatoes, grilled prawns, sautéed onions and sourdough toast priced at $32 for adults and $14 for children (ages 5 to 12). A special Strawberry Champagne Parfait, featuring champagne jelly, strawberry cake and milk crumble will be available at Nelson's for $15.
