From Coastal Bites to Elegant Feasts
RANCHO PALOS VERDES, Calif. - Set against a stunning oceanfront backdrop, Terranea Resort offers a romantic Southern California coastal destination for couples, friends, and families to celebrate Valentine's Day. The resort presents an array of exceptional dining experiences, including a bespoke gourmet tasting menu at mar'sel and a multi-course "Romantic Garden" dinner at catalina kitchen. Additional Valentine's Day specials are available at the Lobby Bar, bashi, Nelson's, and sea beans, offering something for every food lover.
mar'sel's Splendid Valentine's Day Three-Course Dinner
Friday, February 14, from 5 to 9 p.m.
With oceanfront views and delectable inventive California cuisine, Chef Fabio Ugoletti and his culinary team have created a memorably romantic dinner - to be elegantly served at Terranea's signature Forbes Four Star mar'sel. Guests start with an Amuse Bouche of Oysters & Pomegranate. Appetizer choices include Uni Caesar Salad with Santa Barbara uni, little gem, croutons, sungold tomato and sea urchin dressing; Cauliflower & White Chocolate Soup with forest mushrooms, black truffle and hazelnuts; Smoked Salmon & Swordfish Carpaccio with olives, orange sea beans, roe and a fennel citronette or Beef Tartare & Caviar with quail egg, vanilla potato coulis, fava beans and marinated egg yolk. Entrée options are Poached Half Lobster served with basil infused risotto and asparagus tips; NY 14-Day Dry-aged Flannery Beef Steak with confit artichoke, Tuscan beans and red wine reduction; Monk Fish prepared with saffron seafood fregula, kale and prawns; and Lamb Loin in Truffle Crust with potato fondant, stuffed cone cabbage and truffle jus. A pre-dessert of Cucumber & Mint Sorbet and choice of heavenly desserts are Chocolate Framboise with chocolate cake, raspberry mousse and Chantilly; Passion Fruit & Mango "Panna Cotta" with toasted coconut and strawberry veil; Pot de Crème with caramel pudding, dark chocolate ganache and sea salt shortbread; or Macarons composed of plant based toasted marshmallow, lemon curd and graham cracker.

catalina kitchen's "Romantic Garden"

Inspired by Terranea's catalina kitchen's lush garden setting, this creatively invented three-course with amuse bouche Valentine's dinner incorporates floral and botanical elements into the menu - for an intimate and natural feel. Amuse Bouches include Laura Chenel Goat Cheese Tartlette with rainbow pickled carrots and chives; Scallops Aguachile with hibiscus, tomatillo, lime, crème fraîche and tapioca cracker; and Vitello Tonnato of veal carpaccio, tuna foam, shio koji marinated egg yolk and caper powder. Appetizer choices are Burratina with puntarelle, orange segments, black olives and bagna cauda dressing; Beef Tartare with toma fondue heart and baguette crostini; or Char-Grilled Marinated Octopus with candied leek, lemon potato foam and paprika de la vera. The Mains are a choice of Roasted Celeriac with pistachio pesto; Dover Sole with caviar beurre blanc; or Lamb Backstraps and charred beets. For the sweet ending, Dessert is Devil's Food Cake with raspberry mouse and raspberry compote.

Terranea Resort presents 'Bubbles and Bites,' an exclusive Valentine's Day celebration on February 14 from 5 to 9 p.m. on the Lobby Bar's west terrace. This limited-capacity event promises an evening of luxury with live music, a glass of Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label Brut Champagne or Rosé, tantalizing tableside bites, custom chocolate boxes, and a flower bouquet building experience.

Valentine Special Offerings at the Lobby Bar
Friday, February 14, from 12 p.m. to 12 a.m.
The Lobby Bar offers an elegant setting to share bites with loved ones. Menu highlights include Beet Carpaccio with avocado mint mousse, rye crumble, and crisp sea beans ($25), and Devil's Food Parfait featuring raspberry mousse, raspberry compote, and Chantilly foam ($15).
Valentine Special Offerings at bashi
Friday, February 14, from 5 to 9 p.m.
At bashi, guests can savor Asian-inspired Valentine's Day dishes such as Lamb Lollipops, featuring frenched lamb ribs marinated in bulgogi sauce and paired with watercress ($45). For dessert, guests can enjoy Lychee Mousse Coconut Cake with a crumble topping ($15).
Valentine Special Offerings at Nelson's
Friday, February 14, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
For a casual coastal Valentine's experience by the fire pits, Nelson's serves up Lobster Pasta with fettuccine, pink sauce, and parmesan ($35); Surf & Turf featuring a 12-ounce ribeye, crispy fried shrimp, mashed potatoes, broccolini, and lobster mushroom sauce ($45); and Peanut Butter Strawberry White Chocolate Cheesecake with passion fruit compote ($15).
Valentine Special Offerings at sea beans
Friday, February 14, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
sea beans invites guests to embark on a romantic picnic along the coast with a curated basket for two, including a green salad, choice of sandwiches or wraps, charcuterie and cheese, chocolate-covered strawberries, and a bottle of wine (approximately $200, based on wine selection). A decadent array of desserts will also be available, featuring Heart Chocolate Boxes, Red Velvet and Chocolate Cake Pops, Strawberry Pretzel Pie, Heart-Shaped Macarons, and more.
