Spring Tasting Menus at mar’sel

  Terranea Resort’s signature restaurant, mar’sel, announces two new springtime tasting menus. These special market-driven menus allow guests to travel through a unique tasting experience, perfect for the beautiful spring weather at the resort.  

 

With spring approaching, California farmer’s markets are beginning to show the first signs of fresh spring vegetables, including English peas, baby carrots, and artichokes. This transitional period after winter’s earthy rich flavors brings along the welcome change of light fresh flavors.

 

Created by Chef de Cuisine Andrew Vaughan, the March and April tasting menus at mar’sel feature dishes that give a nod to Chef Vaughan’s Southern heritage and include some unique hints of Asian combinations that flow through Southern California cuisine, making the menus truly dynamic and fun. Chef Vaughan also introduces old favorites with a fresh, unique, and modern approach, highlighting the continuous evolution of mar’sel’s culinary history.

 

In March, try the Sweet and Sour Sweetbreads, Hamachi Ceviche, and Wagyu Ribeye. Finish the evening with Lexi’s Brownie Sundae. In April, expect to see English Pea Soup, BBQ Blue Shrimp, and a delightful Meyer Lemon Crème Brulee. The tasting menus at mar’sel are offered at $145/person with optional wine pairing priced at $75.
