The Portuguese Bend hike takes guests almost 1,000 feet above Terranea offering a majestic view of the colony of Portuguese Bend, Catalina Island and points beyond. Guests can take in the local flavor on two wheels by renting a Resort bike or trot along the scenic trails of the preserve on horseback.
Taking full advantage of the ocean setting, the Resort offers guests a chance to kayak this famous stretch of Pacific coastline, once the paddling grounds of the Pimu natives and the setting for the renowned oceanic park, Marineland of the Pacific. Explore the ocean floor by snorkeling or scuba diving.
For those wishing to embrace the beach lifestyle, Terranea Resort provides one-on-one and group volleyball and paddle board lessons. In addition, expert instructors will teach Resort guests how to ride a wave during Quiksilver® Perfect Day Surf Lessons.
