The Spa at Terranea Celebrates National Yoga Month with Free Yoga Classes and Southern California’s Largest Outdoor Yoga Class
Featuring Yoga Expert Jodi Guber from Beyond Yoga
Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif. – September 2011 - In honor of September’s National Yoga Awareness Month, The Spa at Terranea invites yoga enthusiasts and newcomers to enjoy complimentary yofga classes throughout the month, and to join in the creation of Southern California’s largest outdoor yoga class. Partnering with yoga expert Jodi Guber, co-founder of LA’s Beyond Yoga, yogis will gather at the oceanfront resort on Sunday, September 25 at 2 p.m. in support of the art of yoga.
“Yoga is good for relieving stress and relaxing and has been used as a meditation technique for thousands of years. Likewise, Terranea, once part of the Channel Islands millions of years ago, preserves its inseparable relationship with the environment protecting and enhancing opportunities to bond with nature,” explained Melinda Milner, director of spa.
During the month of September, seasoned yogis and beginners alike are invited to enjoy one complimentary yoga class in the oceanfront yoga movement studio at The Spa at Terranea. Classes are held at various times throughout the week with choices available for all levels. Reservations are required.
The month will culminate on Sunday, September 25, with a gathering on the 16,000-square-foot oceanfront Palos Verdes Meadows where participants of all skill levels will be lead by expert Jodi Guber in the most current moves and techniques. The outdoor yoga event begins at 2 p.m. and is open to the public, free of charge. Participants should bring a yoga mat and water bottle.
Participants in the September 25 yoga experience will each receive a headband courtesy of Beyond Yoga. Participants will also be eligible for a drawing to win one of several prizes including a yoga outfit from Beyond Yoga and an overnight stay at Terranea Resort and a 60-minute spa treatment valued at $600.
Following the outdoor yoga event, participants are invited to visit The Spa at Terranea for refreshments and a trunk show previewing Beyond Yoga’s stylish active wear line including upcoming items available for holiday.
