Families and groups of friends can create a home away from home in one of the resort’s spacious villas that includes two or three bedrooms, living area, kitchen and garage, then enjoy numerous fun activities that will have all ages enjoying the spirit of the season. For those who desire, Terranea can provide additional customized services including stocking guests’ villas with favorite foods and providing a private chef for family meals.
Holiday Activities
Breakfast with Santa: December 18 from 9:00 a.m. to noon
Bring your little ones and join Santa for a very special breakfast .The Ballroom will be decked out in holiday swag to welcome families who will enjoy a full breakfast buffet and a chance to sit on Santa’s lap. Other fun activities include crafts with the elves and holiday carolers. Breakfast with Santa is $35 for adults and $24 for children 5 and up, free for children 0-4. Candied Ornament Making
Create delicious take home masterpieces for their mantel, tree or dessert. Guests can choose between bite size candy apples, signature truffles, and bake free cookies to name a few.
Gingerbread Sand Castles
Run, run as fast as you can ~ you just might catch a Gingerbread man! Sugar sweet sand, gum drop towers and candy cane trellises will help guests create a tasty castle fit for a Sugar Plum fairy.
Seaside Stories by the Fire
Sip hot chocolate or apple cider while listening to the resort’s holiday elf share stories from around the globe.
Elf Tuck-Ins
Little ones staying at the resort are sent to bed with visions of sugar plums in their heads. A visit from the holiday elves includes sweet treats and a special bedtime story.
S’mores & Cider
Tasty S’mores and hot apple cider make every holiday evening complete.
The 12 Days of “Vacay” - Family Scavenger Hunt
Sing this twist on a familiar holiday tune to help you find everything including your room! Guests pick up their first clue at the Tide Pool Kids Club and carol their way through the resort or just to the evening’s Seaside Stories by the Fire.
Sunset Ritual & Lighting of the Menorah
At sunset on the terrace of the Lobby Lounge, guests enjoy the ringing of the crystal singing bowls and lighting of the menorah. This ancient ritual known for healing and relaxation through sound and vibration combines the powers of sound and quartz crystal (similar to the crystals found in the caves here at Terranea) to produce a magnificent vibrating sound which resonates within the energy centers –or chakras – in the body. The pure sounds of the crystal resonate to bring harmony and well-being to all who hear its beautiful sound.

Countdown to “Noon” Year
This daylight spin on the typical New Year’s countdown is filled with duck races down the waterslide, face painting, family challenges and more poolside fun for resort guests.
Cappy & Suzy’s New Year’s Eve Bash
Kids join Captain Gray and Suzy Blue for an evening of New Year’s antics that include Wii tournaments, craft mania, hotel maze races and talent shows. Kids only please; no parent crashers!
It’s A New Year! Early Risers Club
It’s a New Year and who wants to be stuck sleeping in! Kids can leave mom and dad in bed and join the fun loving team at the Tide Pool kids club for games, crafts and a kids-only breakfast. No need for mom and dad to drop kids off, the Terranea team will pick campers up right from their rooms.
