Terranea Resort's Agnelo Fernandes Named Resort Marketer of the Year
Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif. (July 9, 2012) - Agnelo Fernandes, vice president of sales and marketing for Terranea – Los Angeles’ oceanfront resort – has been named the 2012 Resort Marketer of the Year by Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI).
The distinguished award was bestowed upon Fernandes in acknowledgment of the high degree of excellence he has achieved in his marketing initiatives for Terranea Resort, as well as his past successes as a resort marketer, and his ongoing commitment and contributions to the hospitality industry as a whole. Fernandes was presented the honor before an audience of hospitality and tourism industry leaders during HSMAI’s Resort Marketing Strategy Conference on June 26, in Baltimore, MD.
With more than two decades of experience in the hospitality industry, Fernandes has brought a breadth of knowledge and innovation to his position at Terranea Resort. Since the resort’s debut in 2009, Fernandes has been instrumental in implementing new, cutting-edge marketing strategies and highly successful marketing campaigns, print and online, which has led to increased revenue and online presence for Terranea. With his guidance the 102-acre, $480-million-dollar oceanfront resort continues to experience exponential growth in both occupancy levels and revenue, and is poised to further exceed year-over-year figures for 2012.
