Terranea Resort Welcomes Director of Meetings & Special Events, Kimberly Baez

Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif. – March 2011 – Terranea Resort has announced the appointment of Kimberly Baez to Director of Meetings and Special Events for the 582-room oceanfront resort in Southern California.

“Kimberly’s successful track record, wealth of industry knowledge and hard-working, energetic attitude will be a tremendous asset in creating spectacular meetings and events at Terranea,” said Mark Kaussner, director of catering & conference services. “We look forward to having her a leader in our meetings and events team.”

Baez joins Terranea from The Langham Huntington Hotel & Spa in Pasadena where she served in a similar capacity and successfully managed key accounts through a rebranding of the property from Ritz-Carlton to Langham. Prior to The Langham, Baez worked as a meeting and events specialist for a number of luxury properties including Ritz-Carlton Atlanta, Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel in Dana Point, Calif. and Balboa Bay Club in Newport Beach, Calif.

Baez holds a certificate in professional meeting planning from California State University at Fullerton and a degree in Business Management from Crafton Hills College in Yucaipa, Calif.
