Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif. (November 11, 2013) – Terranea Resort will launch a Chef’s Cooking Series beginning on Thursday, November 21, led by Executive Chef Bernard Ibarra. The farm-to-table dinners will feature an interactive evening with Terranea’s chefs with the first event to celebrate an Autumn Coastal Harvest. Each evening in the bi-monthly series will begin with a cocktail and hors d’oeuvres reception followed by an interactive chef cooking demonstration and a three-course dinner with wine pairing. Guests will receive recipe cards and special gift items to recreate the experience at home.
Each course of the Autumn Coastal Harvest dinner will be paired with wines from local vineyard Villa Oniero. Dimitri Bizoumis, who lives and grows his grapes in neighboring Rolling Hills, will present Villa Oniero’s 2010 Chardonnay, the notably well-balanced 2011 Chardonnay, the 2012 Pinot Noir, which is his personal favorite, and a 2009 late harvest wine for dessert.
For each dinner event, Terranea will partner with a non-profit organization. November’s Autumn Coastal Harvest dinner will benefit The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, a patient-based advocacy organization that aims to fulfill its mission to advance research, support patients, and create hope for those affected by pancreatic cancer.
The Chef’s Cooking Series dinners are limited to 30 guests. Tickets are $250 per person and are available to purchase through November 18, via http://www.terranea.com/cooking-classes-california. For more information, call Terranea Resort at 310-265-2836.
