Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif. – January 2011 – Terranea Resort has announced the appointment of Mark Kaussner to Director of Catering and Conference Services for the 582-room oceanfront resort in Southern California.
Kaussner comes to Terranea from M Resort-Spa and Casino in Las Vegas, NV where he was a member of the opening executive team as head of the Catering and Conference Services department. Under Mark’s leadership, M Resort earned a number of industry awards and gained a reputation as a premier destination for meetings and conferences.

Prior to opening the M Resort, Mark held several senior level operational positions with such prestigious properties as the Bellagio Resort, Las Vegas; Rio All –Suite Hotel and Casino, NV; and the Ritz Carlton – Half Moon Bay, Calif. Kaussner holds a degree in Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management from Johnson and Wales University in Rhode Island. He is a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) and a member of the International Special Events Society (ISES).
