Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif. (July 28, 2014) – Los Angeles’ premier oceanfront resort, Terranea, by Destination Hotels & Resorts, has introduced five new executives to its leadership team. The five new appointments include a Director of Revenue Optimization, Spa Director, Associate Director of Marketing, and two Sales Directors, all who will be pivotal in continuing the success of Terranea Resort. Known for its world-class hospitality, service and unparalleled guest experiences, Terranea is in its fifth year of operation and has grown into one of the leading resorts in Los Angeles and Southern California.

Bryan Haluza joins Terranea as the Director of Revenue Optimization. With over 25 years of hospitality experience, Bryan will be heading up the strategy and planning to maximize revenue generation at the resort. Bryan’s previous positions include Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group in Elbow Beach, Bermuda, The Sagamore Resort in Lake George, New York and Mount Snow Resort Lodging in Mount Snow, Vermont.
Sharon Holtz, appointed to Terranea as the Spa Director, will lead the development of spa programming as well as continue to position The Spa at Terranea as a premier destination resort spa. With more than 20 years of experience in the spa and wellness industry, Sharon spent ten years with Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group creating distinctive holistic experiences within their spas. Working throughout the United States, Southeast Asia and the Caribbean, Sharon learned a variety of culturally-inspired healing traditions and brings a global perspective to her role. She also spent time with Starwood Hotels & Resorts as Health Club Manager for the Westin St. Francis in San Francisco and as the Spa Manager at Elbow Beach in Bermuda.
Amy Funke, the newly appointed Associate Director of Marketing, will oversee the strategy for marketing communications and planning to enhance revenue generation at the resort. Prior to joining Terranea, Amy was a Senior Strategist at Allied Integrated Marketing in Los Angeles and served as the Account Director for the GRAMMYS, managing data analysis and strategy across the website, social media and digital marketing in support of the 2014 broadcast. She brings to Terranea more than seven years of experience, specializing in digital marketing and communications.
Sandra Montesano has joined the team as Director, National Accounts for the Midwest in charge of developing new and maintaining existing partnerships with businesses and groups. Formerly the Director of Midwest and Incentive Sales for La Quinta Resort & Club, a Waldorf Astoria Resort, she brings more than 22 years of hospitality sales experience to the Terranea team.
Maria Trabucco comes to Terranea with over 20 years of sales and hospitality experience. As the new Director of National Accounts for the Northeast, Maria will be responsible for growing interaction and partnerships within the Northeastern U.S. Her past experience includes Director of National Accounts for the Northeast for Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort, Gaylord Hotels and the JW Marriott Resort & Spa at Camelback Inn.
