Insert your own joke here, but anyone looking to score points with their mother-in-law may want to send them away in October. To help, three hotels are offering a Mother-in-Law Day packages to celebrate a quirky October 25 holiday.
Mother-in-Law Day began in 2002 and always falls on the fourth Sunday of October. It celebrates the role that mothers-in-law play, despite being the target for many comedians. To honor these women, Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA, The Hotel Hershey in Hershey, PA and Woodlands Inn near Charleston, SC; have all developed packages surrounding this quirky observance.
Southern California’s newest coastal resort Terranea, a Destination Hotels & Resorts property, is offering the ideal package sure to earn you brownie points with your mother-in-law. Available for the night of October 24 and day of October 25, the package begins at $750 and includes: ocean view accommodations, a wine amenity upon arrival, (1) 60-minute spa treatment at The Spa at Terranea, breakfast buffet for two at Catalina Kitchen, complimentary valet parking, late checkout of 3 p.m. and daily resort fee.
