For resort guests and locals from the Palos Verdes and South Bay areas, Nelson's is the place to enjoy fresh California comfort cuisine, delicious microbrews and spectacular sunsets. With a view of the Point Vicente Lighthouse and Catalina Island, this Southern California restaurant offers one of the most scenic locations in Palos Verdes in which to enjoy a meal or drinks in a casual setting. Enjoy the sunset on the patio, by the fire pits or just from our fabulous walking trails. Or, relax inside and catch a sports event on television.
Nelson's offers a casual, family-friendly environment throughout the day. Canine friends are accommodated outside by picnic tables, so you and your dog can rest after a walk along the coast. Once the sun has sunk beneath the horizon, Nelson's is a popular place to chill into the night.
Restaurant menu offerings include regional Southern California favorites such as mahi tacos, the fish & chips, the pulled pork sandwich and delicious sweet potato fries, all presented in a casual dining atmosphere while you relax by outdoor fire pits and soak in the incredible natural beauty of the Palos Verdes coastline. Enjoy a wide array of beverages including California wines, micro brewed beers and specialty blended drinks.
Recognized as one of the top ten eco-friendly bars in the U.S., Nelson's is furnished with items using recycled material - the bar countertop is made of recycled wine bottles. Nelson's is a tribute to Mike Nelson, the character played by Lloyd Bridges in the famed Sea Hunt television series, much of which was filmed at Marineland some 50 years ago. Mr. Bridges was a pioneer in environmental awareness and his Sea Hunt character was instrumental in bringing the message to the world that the oceans are one of our most vital resources which we should do all we can to preserve.
Terranea restaurants' hours of operation and menus are subject to change seasonally and pending the availability of fresh ingredients. Children's menus are offered throughout the Resort featuring a selection of kid's favorites using healthy and nutritious ingredients.
