Want to cook with the chefs at Terranea? Now you can! Join Chef Andrew Smith of Nelson’s, mar'sel Chef de Cuisine Michael Fiorelli, Executive Pastry Chef Pierino Jermonti, or Chef David Tarrin of Catalina Kitchen at one of the five cooking courses offered during Terranea’s Chefs’ Summer Cooking Series.

During each cooking class, guests will receive a signature cocktail or glass of wine, and watch as the chef demonstrates and prepares themed dishes. After the demonstration, guests will be led into the dining room where they will sample the dishes they have just learned to cook! Cooking class participants will engage in a Q&A session with the chef and will receive a take-home recipe card and shopping list. Each class is limited to just 12 participants, so the teaching experience is one of a kind! See below for more detailed descriptions of each of the classes...

After spending a heavenly weekend at Terranea (terra-NAY-a) Resort, it’s time to get back to reality. Although I do live in sunny Southern California, I don’t typically wake up to room service on a peninsula that feels worlds away from everything else. So for me, and I would assume for most people, it’s an absolute treat to visit an ocean front resort that offers so many luxurious amenities. Just south of Los Angeles, Terranea Resort is perfectly perched on the edge of the Pacific Ocean in Palos Verdes. The old-world Mediterranean architecture enhances the ambiance, giving it an unexplained feeling of comfort and familiarity. Poised on 102 pristine acres with breathtaking panoramic ocean views, this world-class resort offers countless ways to spend each day. Who doesn’t like a seamless check-in with champagne in hand? After admiring the ocean view suite, I dashed off to take the ocean trail hike that was offered. I was the only one that showed up at 4:00 PM. Yay for me, I love private tours! Debbie, one of the fitness instructors, showed me the lay of the land. It was an excellent way to stretch my legs after the car ride and learn more about the property...
