Our son got married in May of 2011 and our family flew in from Southern NJ to find the most beautiful destination in southern California-Terranea. We spent 5 days of absolute bliss swimming with the grandchildren, golfing, and being pampered at the spa. All of our children had their own rooms and we booked a bungalow overlooking the Pacific where we all congregated. We often think back to our great meals and fun with our family at a place we call Paradise on the Pacific. Terranea's staff was warm and fulfilled our every need for a very special time. Terranea is also very pet friendly. Our son brought his dog!

On December 5th, 1933 the US Government ratified the 21st Amendment, which repealed Prohibition. Americans rejoiced, NO MORE BATHTUB GIN! The Lobby Bar at Terranea is celebrating by launching a “Prohibition Hour”from 3 - 6pm Sunday – Thursday nights. These early evenings will be a place to remember the classic cocktails and the lore surrounding them.

*Interesting fact: Templeton Rye Whiskey which is served in the Lobby Bar is being produced again today after being one of the few distilleries in Iowa during Prohibition. It is said to have been “Al Capone’s whiskey of choice”
