We are lucky that being located on the coast of beautiful Southern California makes rain or cold weather a very rare occurrence for us at Terranea. However, there are a few days when Mother Nature decides to water the beautiful land of Terranea. In those few cases, our Terranea Concierge and Activities teams have put together some fun rainy day options.

Easter comes early this year (March 31, 2013) and we are getting all of our chicks and bunnies in a row for the big holiday! Join us at Terranea for a fun filled Easter on March 31, 2013. Terranea Resort in Los Angeles will offer a Ballroom Easter Brunch (with an Omelet & Egg Station, Carving Station, a Dessert Buffet and more).

Included in the price of brunch (or free for all resort guests!) will be Terranea’s Easter Egg Hunt, A Petting Zoo with bunnies, lambs, and chicks, and a Family Activity Station. See below for a round-up of our oceanfront Easter activities, including information, tickets, and menus:

Nelson’s, Terranea Resort's ocean view restaurant, is now accepting reservations! Over the years many people have experienced the long waits at Nelson’s for a chance to see spectacular sunsets, whales migrating, or to just relax with some great music during our summer concert series. For those of you who are not fans of the long waits, you can now call ahead and make your reservation in advance! As many of you know, now is the ideal time of year to see whales migrating south. Come on down to Nelson's, see the Whales, ring the Whale bell, and sit back and enjoy a beautiful sunset! To book your reservations please call (310) 265-2836.

On our recent (02/2013) visit, our stay was made very special by the attentiveness and outstanding service of Marissa Edwards (Director of all things Fun) for sure, and Megan Fink (Concierge). Worries just melt away at Terranea.

The 85^th Academy Awards are near! For a fun twist on Oscars evening, please join us at mar’sel’s 3rd annual Oscars Viewing Party. The party will begin with red carpet arrivals at 4pm and the awards ceremony starting at 5pm on Sunday, February 24^th at mar’sel.

Searching for something sweet?? sea beans, located in the front drive of Los Angeles’ oceanfront hotel Terranea Resort, is the perfect spot to satisfy your sugar cravings. In addition to sweets including cookies, cupcakes, and specialty desserts, Pastry Chef Perry offers a variety of handmade chocolate truffles filled with local fruits, herbs, caramel, and more. View Chef Perry’s signature chocolate truffle flavors below or stop by sea beans to taste a few for yourself.

The Spa at Terranea offers upcoming dance and yoga classes open to both resort guests and local Los Angeles residents. See below for the dates and details of each unique dance and fitness class.

Celebrate the Year of The Snake at bashi’s Chinese New Year party. On February 10, 2013 bashi will offer dim sum, traditional roasted pork, fried sesame mochi balls, along with other Chinese New Year favorites.
