Celebration of Food and Wine Event in Los Angeles

Terranea Resort’s Celebration of Food and Wine is August 10th


Terranea Resort is hosing its inaugural Celebration of Food and Wine on August 10, 2014. The exciting new culinary event offers special seminars and wine tastings lead by industry experts. See below for the event happening during Terranea’s Celebration of Food and Wine:


The Celebration of Food and Wine at Terranea Resort in Los Angeles will feature four seminar sessions.

The two morning seminar sessions will begin with Bubbles of the World hosted by Master Wine Candidate Stuart Prato, running from 10 a.m. – 11:15 a.m., followed by A History of South Africa hosted by award-winning Boela Gerber of Groot Constantia, running from 11:30 a.m. – 12:45 p.m.

The two afternoon seminar sessions will begin with Italian Wines hosted by Premier Italian Wine Importer and Italian Master Sommelier John Cressman and run from 3 p.m. – 4:15 p.m., and will be followed by Bordeaux vs. Burgundy hosted by Jason Berry, representing Mark Haisma, Burgundy Négociant, at 4:30 p.m.

Wine Luncheon

The luncheon, hosted by French Wine Specialist Paul Swigger, will begin at 1 p.m. Prepared by Terranea’s Executive Chef Bernard Ibarra, the lunch event will feature a cooking demonstration highlighting the theme of “Old World vs. New World”.


The Celebration of Food and Wine concludes with a ‘Taste of Terranea’ reception, featuring dishes from each of Terranea’s restaurants.  The reception will take place at 5:30 p.m. and will include select wine vendors booths.

Room Special Offer

Celebration of Food and Wine guests will have the opportunity to purchase a special room package for the event. The special package offers two-night ocean view accommodations, two VIP passes for the day’s activities, and a welcome reception and wine dinner at mar’sel the evening prior to the event.


Pricing options for Celebration of Food and Wine tickets are $125 for the seminars and lunch, $125 for the evening reception only, or $225 for the full day experience.
